About Parallax

Why Parallax exists.

Origin

The gap between the assessment and the work.

Mark is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. For years he watched the same pattern. A team would take CliftonStrengths. A facilitator would run a workshop. Everyone would leave with a PDF of their top five and a fresh appreciation for how different they all were.

Then Monday came back. The PDFs lived in a shared drive nobody opened. The 1-on-1s went back to generic status updates. The staffing decisions went back to whoever was available. The data was real, the insight was real, and nothing changed about the work.

Parallax exists to close that gap. Not another workshop, not another report, not another slide deck. A working surface where the assessment your team already took shows up in the conversations you run every week.

Principles

What we believe.

I.

Strengths data belongs in the workflow.

Strengths results should change how you manage every week, not just how you talk at the offsite. If the data only shows up in a workshop slide once a year, the team is running on memory the other 364 days.

II.

Managers are the unit of change.

Companies do not improve in HR meetings. They improve one manager, one 1-on-1, one staffing decision at a time. Parallax serves the manager first because the manager is the leverage point.

III.

Clean-room content protects everyone.

We write our own prompts, heuristics, and frameworks from scratch. That protects Gallup’s intellectual property, protects Parallax, and gives coaches a surface they can use without stepping on trademark.

IV.

Software should respect the craft.

Coaching is a craft. We build tooling that respects it rather than replacing it. Parallax is not a ChatGPT wrapper. It is a working surface for people who already know what good looks like.

The founder

Mark Nwokedi.

Mark is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach who spent years running workshops and 1-on-1 coaching engagements with teams that had already taken CliftonStrengths. He built Parallax to be the tool he wanted his clients to keep using after the workshop was over.

Gallup-Certified, independent of Gallup, Inc.

Values in the product

Four choices that show up in the work.

Principles are cheap. These are the specific product decisions that come from them.

Clean-room disclaimers on every coach-facing surface

Every workshop, prompt library, and theme page in Parallax carries the disclaimer that we are independent of Gallup. The legal posture matches the product.

Manager-seat pricing that matches the buyer

Per-seat pricing forces finance approval on a team of eight. Manager-seat pricing aligns the bill with the person who benefits most, which is how bottom-up tools actually get adopted.

Private coach notes your client never sees

When the Coach Portal ships, coaches get a working log that is private by default. Parallax is not a surveillance layer on the coaching relationship.

Honest placeholder pages

We refused to ship fake logos or borrowed case studies to make the site look fuller. Customers see what the product actually has, on the day we ship it.

The strengths operating system for managers.
